2nd Meeting of the ELI ILO-Network in Szeged Hungary
On 22 May, European Industrial Liaison Officers (ILO) were invited to the ELI facility in Szeged, Hungary for the second ELI ILO-net meeting. The aim of the ELI ILO-net is to strengthen connections between the research infrastructures and industrial stakeholders in European countries with the key objective to promote research and development collaborations and to create long-term public-private partnerships with industry.
The Extreme Light Infrastructure ERIC (ELI) was granted the legal status of European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC) by the European Commission in 2021 and it consists of three facilities – ELI Beamlines Facility in Dolní Břežany, Czech Republic, ELI ALPS in Szeged, Hungary, and ELI-NP in Ilfo, Romania.
The event served as a platform for exchanging lessons learned, sharing operational updates, and exploring best practices for the ILO network development. Discussions focused on how to further enhance the efficiency and impact of the network to reinforce ELI’s mission of advancing scientific excellence while contributing to Europe’s industrial and economic competitiveness.
The Dutch ILO-net will be involved in the ELI ILO-net to also link the Dutch industry with ELI ERIC.
