Industry meeting sustainability @ HFML-FELIX
To kick off after the summer break, we invite you to our next industry afternoon at HFML-FELIX in Nijmegen on 2 September.
This edition will focus on sustainability and challenges in the Big Science domain. You will get the opportunity to learn how the Big Science organisations deal with sustainability and what challenges arise.
We will discuss the following three topics:
1) Responsibly procurement: how do sustainability criteria impact your chances in bidding for contracts?
2) Energy: can the enormous amount of energy needed by Big Science be used more efficiently?
3) Sustainable innovations: what kind of innovations are needed to make Big Science more sustainable?
Call: We are looking for company speakers to present at this event on one of the three topics. Do you have experience with, or ideas about responsible procurement within Big Science, energy reduction or efficiency, or sustainable innovations: please contact us!
Program:
We will start with lunch around 12:00 and end with networking drinks around 17:00.

The two-yearly SPIE Astronomical Telescopes & Instrumentation conference is the largest in its sector and focuses both on ground- and space-based telescopes.
