SPIE 2026 conference
05-07-2026 - 10-07-2026
The two-yearly SPIE Astronomical Telescopes & Instrumentation conference is the largest in its sector and focuses both on ground- and space-based telescopes. More than 2000 experts, scientists, policy makers and industry representatives from all over the world will be attending the conference. The three-day exhibition, which is part of the conference, is an excellent opportunity for the Dutch industry and research institutes involved in astronomy and space instrumentation to present themselves and establish contacts with potential partners, clients and policy makers.NOVA (The Dutch Research School for Astronomy) is organising a Dutch Pavilion during the exposition, together with sister institutes ASTRON, SRON and TNO, strategic partner TUD and a variety of Dutch companies (during SPIE 2024 these were Demcon Focal, cosine bv, DUI, JPE and VDL ETG). A joint pavilion is a great opportunity to showcase the breadth and diversity of Dutch expertise. A large delegation of Dutch astronomy scientists and engineers is visiting the conferences and gives presentations. They act as ambassadors, attract a large number of visitors to the pavilion and can introduce them to all relevant partners and companies. During this exhibition partnerships can be initiated that lead to investments.
The pavilion has a floor space of 54 m2 with NL-branding. At least 1/3 of the booth is a collective “lounge” space where networking is possible (equipped with high tables and bar stools). The rest of the space is available for showcasing hardware and services via a display and exhibition space for products and hardware.
Registration
Next to the institutes, there is in total space for 5 companies. With 2 confirmed participations from industry, there is still space for 3 companies to join the booth.
